About Cadence Point Academy

Cadence Point Academy is a growing institution that provides music lessons for families of Cecil and Harford County, Maryland. Founder, Kirsten Fitzsimmons, began traveling and teaching in-home piano lessons while she was in college. Throughout college, Ms. Fitzsimmons would travel throughout Harford County on weekday evenings to provide in-home instruction to students and adult learners.

Once graduated and employed by Cecil County Public Schools, Ms. Fitzsimmons and her colleagues noticed a need for private music lessons for the music students of Cecil County. Many students had to travel to Delaware or Harford County to find any private instruction. After eight years of public teaching, Ms. Fitzsimmons had decided to expand upon and grow her private lessons studio, now known as Cadence Point Academy.
